The Association of African Start-ups (TAAS) was founded in February 2020 by Just Omomo Ibe who in conjunction with the founding partners are on a mission to intentionally build a vibrant African economy by Africans. Our goal is to build a strong network of entrepreneurs within the African space who are focused on building sustainable businesses and are in for the long haul.
We are a dynamic, innovative and purpose-driven organisation that seeks to inspire and equip African startups to scale, build strategic partnerships and grow a vibrant African economy. As an African centered organisation focused on people, performance and the creation of sustainable businesses in the economic space, we have access to global opportunities through strategic partnerships which would enable a diverse and vibrant African economy.
Through our unique approach of providing strategic insight that is tailored to the needs of each individual, we fully prepare African entrepreneurs with the tools needed to compete locally but on a global scale. Our Learning HUB is designed to uplift start-ups on the continent with the 21st century business technique and approach that activates RESULTS and guarantees their path to success.

Abiola Odesanya

A multifaceted visionary with interests in the growth and development of Africa.
Abiola Odesanya believes that a mind positioned to receive more would do more, hence her denomination to purge the comfort in complacency that plagues African descents. Abiola delivers on this through oriental teachings that simplifies divine principles which births mind liberation and the provisions of unprecedented strategies that guarantees affluence, influence and global relevance.
Abiola Odesanya is Chief Operating Officer of The Association of African startups, a pan African organisation with upcoming presence in the 55 countries in Africa as well as in the diaspora that focuses on equipping African Entrepreneurs with the required skills to build sustainable businesses with the view to rebuilding the African economy through entrepreneurship with God through storytelling.
As a legal practitioner with nearly a decade of experience, Abiola structures brands legally for sustainability, affluence and influence .
Abiola Odesanya is widely perceived as a vehicle of multidimensional possibilities with the sole aim of eradicating mediocrity in the body of christ.
Anthony Ibe

Anthony I. is a passionate and result oriented development practitioner who is driven by the ambition to effect sustainable change in Africa’s development. He is the Founder of a renewable energy firm and also a co-founder to a horticulture business that seeks to put Nigeria on the horticultural industry across the globe. He also a climate change consultant volunteering with the International energy agency (iea). His interest in personal development led to him acquiring additional skills in Leadership and Data analytics.
Anthony believes in personal transformation. When he’s not working, he is involved in gospel missions to rural areas and intercession for individuals, corporates and Africa.
Folasade Sonowo

Folasade Sonowo is a Chartered Accountant and Tax Practitioner with over ten (13 )years’ experience. She’s the lead consultant for Denuel Consulting , a registered business that provides customized -based range of accounting and tax services for small businesses.

Ada Onobun

Ada Onobun is the Managing Partner at First Law Partners, a full service law firm operating out of Abuja. She holds a 2001 LL.B degree from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2004.
Prior to commencement, she worked with Matrix-Solicitors from 2005 to 2013 where and during which she was able to hone her skills in a myriad of legal scenarios with client satisfaction.
She has been involved in diverse corporate and commercial transactions, including business establishment, intellectual property protection, real estate and conveyancing, matrimonial and family law, general corporate advisory work and litigation. She is well-versed in the protection of clients’ rights under transactional agreements and is very passionate about corporate governance issues in companies especially pertaining to the proper mode of the running of organisations and entities. Ada Onobun has also been involved in mediation proceedings, one of which led to a peaceful settlement of a breach of intellectual property rights in a design in the recently concluded 2015 Nigerian elections.
She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, and a student member of the Institute of Chartered Administrations and Secretaries of Nigeria (“ICSAN”).
Abimbola Umozurike

Abimbola Umozurike is a visionary leader and a digital innovator who has significantly impacted the non-profit sector. She has trained over 2,000 entrepreneurs on how to leverage tech to grow their business online.
She is the pioneer of Bellavimedia, a digital agency which support business owners to grow their business online to meet their financial objectives. Abimbola has dedicated her career to leveraging digital technology to drive social change and improve businesses across the country.
She is also tech lead for TAAS, supporting the vision to ensure we are able to reach our audience across the world.
